New Sterilization Requirements
| Quick Summary On October 17, 2013, new regulations on the sterilization of multi-use tools was passed in the City of Boston. This new regulation states that all salons who are applying for a city permit for the first time after October 17, 2013 must install and use either an autoclave or a US FDA registered dry heat sterilizer. Any salon who has applied for their first permit prior to October 17, 2013, will have two (2) years to buy and install an autoclave or US FDA registered dry heat sterilizer. This new regulation also banned the use of Ultraviolet (UV) boxes. |
